The promoters of The Ultimate Fighter Championship recently announced the second quarter schedule and UFC236 fight is right around the corner. They are adding a bonus week in July so that all the hard-core fans can plan their Las Vegas trip in advance.
In the second quarter, will see the fight travel to international destinations like Russia, Sweden, Canada, and Brazil.
The first match, the UFC 236 will happen in Atlanta on April 13th. Though the event did not have the main attraction for some time, the UFC has put up two strong fights for the weekend.
American MMA fighter Max Holloway is climbing up to the 155 pounds interim lightweight classification and will face Dustin Poirier in the championship fight.
The second event is an interim middleweight title between Kelvin Gastelum and Israel Adesanya. Although the entire fight card is still not fixed, the tickets are almost sold out based on the announced fights.
Holloway is UFC’s current Featherweight champion and has a 13 fight win streak to date. So far, he has amassed 20 wins in the championship. For the first time, he is climbing up to the interim lightweight category.
Poirier is on a 3-win streak at the moment and has 25 wins in the sport to date. Poirier fights in the lightweight division of UFC.
The 27-year-old Gastelum has already won 15 fights and is on a two-win streak in UFC. He has lost only three fights to date while his opponent Adesanya has lost none.
This fight will be interesting since Adesanya is on a 16 fight win streak, having won 13 by knockouts and 3 by decision.
The UFC has announced six other fights during the weekend. There is one main card fight between Eryk Anders versus Khalil Rountree and five other prelim rounds.
